In an industry that’s still finding its footing, transparency isn’t just a buzzword, it’s the foundation of trust. As cannabis products become more widely available, consumers are faced with a wide range of choices, claims, and labels. But how can you really know what you’re buying? The answer lies in a company’s willingness to be fully transparent,  from product creation to lab results.

We Make Our Own Products – And Stand Behind Them

One of the strongest ways we ensure transparency is by making our own products. This allows us to maintain complete control over every step of the process, from sourcing ingredients to formulation and packaging. By not outsourcing, we can guarantee the quality, consistency, and safety of what reaches our shelves.

COAs: The Gold Standard for Product Verification

Every product we produce undergoes third-party laboratory testing, generating a  Certificate of Analysis (COA). These COAs are reviewed and approved before any product is ever made available to the public. This step ensures that what’s on the label truly reflects what’s inside.

When you see a product backed by a valid COA, it means that:

  • The product has been tested by an independent lab
  • The cannabinoid content has been accurately measured
  • The product has been checked for contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, and  residual solvents

QR Codes: A Quick Way to Check the Facts

One of the easiest signs of transparency in the cannabis industry when shopping is the presence of a QR code on the packaging. When scanned, it should take you directly to an active, third-party lab report, not just a marketing page or expired link.

For all Ignite-branded products, including our flower, we provide direct access to lab results both online and in-store, so you can review exactly what you’re purchasing.

When Advertising Doesn’t Match the Lab Report

Unfortunately, not all products in the market are as clear as they appear. For example,  it’s common to see a vape advertised as a Delta-9 THC product, but when you scan the lab report, you might find it’s actually predominantly Delta-8 and THCP, with only a small amount of Delta-9.

This kind of misleading advertising erodes consumer trust and can leave buyers with products that don’t deliver the expected effects. To avoid this confusion, we’ve taken the extra step of printing detailed lab results directly on our vape packaging, so you can see the breakdown at a glance.

Why Transparency in the Cannabis Industry Builds Trust

Being transparent isn’t about meeting minimum legal requirements, it’s about respecting the consumer. We believe you deserve to know exactly what you’re consuming, without fine print or vague claims.

By making our own products, running and reviewing COAs, providing easy access to lab results, and calling out misleading practices in the industry, we’re working to raise the bar for accountability and consumer confidence, because that will always be at the forefront for Ignite Dispensary.
